On the fourth of July, I read out loud from my 1987 diary in front of a room full of (mostly) strangers in a North Melbourne bar. Yep. That’s how I roll.
I was in good company, though. Also reading were Jane Rawson and Jenny Ackland (the organisers of the event), as well as Cassandra Austin and Rosalie Ham.

This inaugural Bad Diaries Salon, with its theme of ‘Mistakes’, exceeded all expectations with its candle-lit blend of humour and honesty.
This was the first of what will hopefully be many diary-sharing sessions. Which is lucky, as I have quite a lot of material to share…
